TASK 8

Global Geodetic Observation System in Poland - GGOS-PL++

Entity responsible: Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences (WUELS),
                                       Institute of Geodesy and Geoinformatics (IGG)

Entities implementing: Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences (WUELS),
                                                Academic Computer Centre Cyfronet AGH (ACK Cyfronet),
                                                Central Mining Institute  (CMI)

The purpose of the task is to expand the existing GGOS-PL infrastructure to provide accurate, consistent, quickly accessible and reliable geodetic reference systems by integrating surface deformation observations (GNSS) and geophysical observations (gravimeters) that together enable a cause-and-effect analysis  of both sources as well as the measurable effects of geodynamic processes.

The research task is planned to cover:

• integration of the existing GGOS-pl infrastructure and the infrastructure for geophysical surveys with newly built infrastructure ensuring the required accuracy, consistency, availability and reliability of the reference system;
• providing an appropriate reference system that fulfils both MUSE implementation requirements (task 9) as well as all other MUSEs implemented in the future in Poland.
